These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ContentBrief.io ("the Service"), operated by ContentBrief.io ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Service Description
ContentBrief.io is a SaaS platform that generates AI-powered SEO content briefs. The Service analyzes search engine results, extracts keyword data, and produces structured content outlines to help you create better content.
2. Account Registration
To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your password
- Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
3. Subscription and Payment
Paid subscriptions are billed through Lemon Squeezy, our payment processor. By subscribing:
- You authorize recurring charges at your selected plan rate
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date
- Refunds are available within 14 days of initial purchase if you are unsatisfied
- Prices may change with 30 days' notice; existing subscriptions are honored until renewal
- Unused briefs do not roll over to the next billing period
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
- Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service beyond the provided API
- Share your account credentials with others
- Resell or redistribute the Service without our written permission
- Generate content that violates any applicable laws or third-party rights
5. Intellectual Property
Your Content
You retain full ownership of all content briefs generated through the Service. We claim no intellectual property rights over the briefs you create. You are free to use, modify, publish, and distribute your generated briefs for any purpose.
Our Service
The ContentBrief.io platform, including its design, code, algorithms, and branding, is our proprietary property. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service as described.
6. Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.
7. Service Availability and Limitations
- We strive for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime
- The Service depends on third-party APIs (search engines) which may experience outages
- Brief generation quality depends on available search data and may vary by keyword
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service with reasonable notice
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ContentBrief.io shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the content briefs will be error-free, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. Content briefs are research tools and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for content strategy decisions.
10. Termination
You may cancel your account at any time through your account settings. We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Service ceases immediately
- We will delete your data within 30 days, unless required by law to retain it
- Any outstanding payment obligations survive termination
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
